Suzi Marie Maldonado, 28 years of age, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. She was born in Alice, Texas on June 1, 1995. She attended school in San Diego and was formerly employed as a cook at various restaurants in Freer, Texas. Suzi enjoyed traveling and looked forward to her yearly roadtrips with her family. She liked music and dancing and especially movie nightwith her son. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, “Kamber” Leigh Ttumlison; paternal grandparents, Abel and Carmel Maldonado; great grandmother, Ramona S. Cano and her special “Tia Sally”.
Suzi is survived by her mother, Cindy (Roger Solis) Trevino of Freer, Texas; the father of her child, Damon Suarez; her beloved on and only son, Joseph Ryan Suarez; step daughter, Skylar Paige Zinn; five brothers, Joshua (Regan) Trevino, Rey Maldonado Jr., Daniel (Cecilia) Maldonado, Andres Maldonado, Abel Maldonado; five sisters, Samantha Rael (Stacey) Gonzalez, Patricia (Jerry) Garcia, Michelle (John) Garcia, Andrea Maldonado, Alexandra (Dusty) Taylor; maternal grandparents, Juan and Susie Trevino; and step mother, Debbie A. Maldonado ; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freer, Texas.
