Victor Manuel “Moose” Munoz Sr.

Victor Manuel “Moose” Munoz Sr., age 62, passed away May 12, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born July 15, 1959 in Alice, Texas to Raul A. and Ella Munoz. Victor worked in the oilfield industry for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, driving his tractor, riding his motorcycle, and mudding. He will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family and eagerness to spend quality time with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Victor “Moosie” Munoz Jr.; parents, Raul A. and Ella Munoz; in laws, Samuel and Gloria Valverde; siblings, Raul Munoz, Linda Ojeda, and Jesse Munoz; sister-in-law, Alma Valverde; and brother-in-law, Manuel Garza.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Belinda Munoz of Alice; two daughters, Melissa Rodriguez (Rodrigo) of San Antonio, Vanessa Godines (Jesus) of Alice, and daughter-in-law, Yesenia Perez (Fabian) of San Antonio; siblings, Ernesto Munoz (Gina), Ella Rios (Quirino), Elnora Lopez, Elma Trejo (Juan), Zelda Salas, and Cecilia Martinez all of Alice; sisters-in-law, San Juanita Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Leticia Uribe (Hilario) of Alice, and Naomi Garza of Alice; brother-in-law, Hector Valverde (Veronica) of George West; four grandchildren, Joshua Munoz, Kayla Godines, Jesus Godines Jr., and Ryan Godines; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5 till 9 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a rosary being held at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Angel Buentello Sr., Pedro Buentello Jr., Jason Gelista, Raul Martinez, Adam Uribe, and Nathaniel Valverde.
