Yolanda Hinojosa
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Yolanda Hinojosa. We know she will be missed by many family & friends; however, we see her love and life’s impact within everyone she touched.
Yolanda Hinojosa, 63, lived in Premont TX for most of her life and it’s where she met & married Raul N Hinojosa in July 1978. Yolanda dedicated her time to raising her family and teaching them the importance of following God’s path by doing his work. Her family witnessed her endless passion to help & guide others who were impoverished, sick, or those who faced sudden hardships. She contributed to the community and surrounding areas in various ways, whether it was sharing some kind words and a hug to organizing food/toy drives, and hosting BBQ fundraisers.
Let’s not forget her love for nature and the outdoors. She took great pride in maintaining her yard with various unique plants and flowers which many had the opportunity to take her grand tour of her exquisite plumeria flower garden, which was filled with butterflies and her favorite… hummingbirds. Yolanda enjoyed the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. She treasured taking motorcycle rides to the hill country and helped form a non-profit motorcycle club which provided college scholarships and school supplies.
She was often considered the matriarch in many settings and would always make sure everyone was in good health & happy. She was approachable and readily available to give advice, if needed, and would always put everyone before herself. If you needed your spirits uplifted, you could always count on her to bring you fresh homemade baked goods.
She is preceded in death by her father, Israel Martinez; and brother, Israel “Rene” Martinez Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Celestine Martinez; husband, Raul N Hinojosa; children, Lorena Carrillo (Juan), Raul Ray Hinojosa (Vanessa), and Rumaldo “Chico” Hinojosa (Katrina); and seven grandchildren.
